The Godless Girl
Fantastic new print of the 1928 Cecil B DeMille silent, The Godless Girl at the Hammer’s new Billy Wilder Theatre on Friday night. Curated by who else but Guy Maddin, who also wrote the fabulously enthusiastic notes. The movie was every bit as delirious as he promised — as delicious certainly as “Madam Satan.”
